DJ Dukes was born and raised around music. His father, an excellent musician, encouraged him to play instruments and broaden his musical horizons, by listening to many different music genres. Growing up in Napa Valley, California he became drawn to the ever-expanding music scene of San Francisco. During the late 90’s he picked up his first pair of turntables and a mixer. He immersed himself in the art of djing, more specifically, mixing many different styles of music together fluently and making people dance.

His main influences are his father Dave, DJ Shadow, Z-Trip, DJ Premier, Mark Farina, Derrick Carter.

DJ Dukes started out playing small events in Napa, Ca. Shortly after he was asked to DJ for Domaine Chandon in Yountville, Ca. They began hiring him for all of their Corporate Events and Parties.
Now his reputation has grown and has worked with many different clients throughout California.

His recent San Francisco club experience includes many events for Vintage 415, including opening sets for DJ AM and DJ Homicide.
